Job Title: Power BI Developer (Contract)

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Duration: 2 Months

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer for a 2-month contract position in Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing 6 to 10 dashboards with various data matrix sources. This role will involve close collaboration with the Senior SharePoint Developer and reporting directly to me.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing and Developing BI Reports and Dashboards:
   • Understand business requirements and design effective data models.
   • Develop and implement visualizations to provide actionable insights.
   • Create and maintain dashboards and reports with clear, user-friendly interfaces.
2. Data Management:
   • Manage data sets, ensuring they are clean, accurate, and ready for analysis.
   • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes as needed.
   • Implement data governance practices to maintain data quality.
3. Collaborating with Stakeholders:
   • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and data scientists to understand their data needs.
   • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
   • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and ensure alignment on project goals.
4. Ensuring Data Accuracy:
   • Validate and verify the accuracy and reliability of data presented in dashboards and reports.
   • Implement quality checks and troubleshoot any issues related to data discrepancies.
   • Regularly review and update reports to reflect accurate and timely information.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Power BI development, including designing and implementing dashboards and reports.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data management best practices.
• Proficiency in DAX and Power Query for data manipulation and visualization.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in ensuring data accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with SharePoint and its integration with Power BI.
• Experience with additional BI tools and data analysis platforms is a plus.
